PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulation coated wire that is inexpensive, can safely interrupt a circuit when fed with an overcurrent, and is also excellent in wire manufacturability.SOLUTION: An insulation coated wire 10 employs a conductor 12 comprising a Zn alloy wire that comprises Al of more than 4.0 mass% and 15.0 mass% or less with the balance being Zn and inevitable impurities, where the conductor 12 is coated with an insulation coat 14, and the conductor 12 is melted with an overcurrent.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
