PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a polysiloxane based coating composition improved in antifouling properties for use in a marine structure; and a marine structure comprising on at least a part of an outer surface thereof an outermost coating prepared from the coating composition.SOLUTION: A fouling control coating composition comprises a polysiloxane-based binder system, 0.01-20% by dry weight of one or more hydrophilic-modified polysiloxanes, and one or more biocides. The hydrophilic-modified polysiloxanes may be a poly(oxyalkylene)-modified polysiloxane, e.g., a polysiloxane having poly(oxyalkylene) chains grafted thereto and/or a polysiloxane having poly(oxyalkylene) chains incorporated in the backbone thereof. A marine structure comprises on at least a part of an outer surface thereof an outermost coating prepared from the coating composition. For the fouling control coating composition, non-reactive hydrophilic-modified polysiloxanes and biocides are used in combination, with the weight ratio of 1:0.2 to 1:6.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
