PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problems that cost and a mounting area increase since a memory for storing syndrome codes is needed in addition to a memory for storing data. SOLUTION: A memory divided into a plurality of banks inside, such as an SDRAM is used to store syndrome codes into one of the banks and store data into the other banks.
