PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display mutually different kinds of videos on a main display panel and on a sub-display panel with low power consumption and without incurring insufficient writing. SOLUTION: In an electro-optical device which includes: the main display panel having pixels with a color filter of four or more colors; and the sub-display panel having pixels with a color filter with the number of colors less than that of the main display panel, a second precharge circuit to supply a prescribed potential in driving the sub-display panel is mounted on the other end of a data line of the sub-display panel on the opposite side of one end to which an image signal is supplied.
