<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC current which is adapted to equipment for use without involving the enlargement of an AC power supply unit and a remarkable increase in cost, in the AC power supply unit of an engine system. <P>SOLUTION: The AC power supply unit 1 includes an AC generator 8 driven by an engine 7, and an electronic control unit 10 which functions as a governor control means to control a rotating speed of the engine through a governor 2 as an adjusting means of an air intake amount of the engine according to fluctuation of an output current of the generator. The power supply unit outputs the AC current from power terminals 17, 18 to supply power, while controlling the drive of the engine 7 so that an output voltage and an output frequency may be maintained within a predetermined range by governor control by the governor control means. In the power supply unit, its power supply is performed by two methods, namely in one method, the power is supplied only by the governor control. In the other method, the power is supplied by adjusting further a voltage and a frequency of the current controlled by the governor, by inverter control performed by the electronic control unit 10 through an inverter 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
