<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure free space in a memory module unit and save the power consumption by stopping power supply by the unit of the memory module unit to decrease power consumption by adding a function to control the amount of memory use and a function to control power supply by the unit of the memory module. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes a function which prohibits simultaneous operations of a plurality of applications to control the amount of memory use, a function which stops unnecessary processes and device drivers to swap them out, a function which shares a screen output pixel map, and a function which controls power supply in the memory module unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
