PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To standardize on the obtainment of the rate of a decrease in a bearing capacity by an influence of a slope according to a velocity field method, and to give right consideration to a three-dimensional effect for the bearing capacity. SOLUTION: A centrifugal model test is performed for each of horizontal ground model made according to conditions in which the spread foundation is formed as a two-dimensional model and in which surrounding ground is formed as horizontal ground, and a slope ground model made according to a ground condition in which the slope is duplicated; and a bearing capacity ratio (ζ<SB>2</SB>) for the horizontal ground in the case of the two-dimensional model is obtained. The spread foundation is formed as a three-dimensional model, and a bearing capacity ratio (ζ<SB>3</SB>) for the horizontal ground in the case of the three-dimensional model is similarly obtained. The ratioβ<SB>C</SB>(ζ<SB>3</SB>/ζ<SB>2</SB>) between the bearing capacity ratios (ζ<SB>2</SB>) and (ζ<SB>3</SB>) is obtained, and multiplied by the ratio (ζ<SB>1</SB>) of the bearing capacity of the spread foundation against the horizontal ground, obtained according to the velocity field method, so that the ratio (β<SB>C</SB>*ζ<SB>1</SB>) of the bearing capacity of the spread foundation against the horizontal ground, giving consideration to the three-dimensional effect, can be obtained.
