Provided are a lens barrel and camera whereby a longer engagement length can be maintained between two tubes which move relative to each other. A lens barrel 1 is characterized by being provided with: a first tube 10; and a second tube 20 disposed in the external peripheral side or internal peripheral side of the first tube 10, the second tube 20 being able to move in a first direction relative to the first tube 10 and not rotating relative to the first tube 10; the second tube 20 having a first engaging part 21 protruding toward the first tube 10, and a second engaging part 22 different from the first engaging part 21 and protruding toward the first tube 10, the first tube 10 having a first engagement-receiving part 11 with which the first engaging part 21 is engaged so as to be able to move straight ahead, and a second engagement-receiving part 12 with which the second engaging part 22 is engaged so as to be able to move straight ahead, and one end of the first engaging part 21 and another end of the second engaging part 22 being arranged in different positions in the straight-ahead direction. |
