PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) composition excellent in useful life in outdoor for 20 years or longer and hydrolysis resistance and suitable for a front sheet for solar battery.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a PET composition by supplying terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol to a low polymer of PET and conducting a polycondensation reaction through an esterification reaction, where a phosphoric acid alkali metal compound as an ethylene glycol solution of 2.0 to 30 mmol/L is added to the PET composition as an alkali metal of 1.0 to 3.0 mol/ton from initiation of the esterification reaction to initiation of the polycondensation reaction. There is provided a manufacturing method of the PET composition by mixing the ethylene glycol solution of the phosphoric acid alkali metal compound and setting a molar ratio (M/P) of sum of total molar amount of Mn, Ca and Mg added as a catalyst assistants and 0.5 molar times of the molar amount of the alkali metal (M) and the molar amount of phosphorus (P) at 1.00 to 1.20.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
