PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve occurrence and switching of a plurality of pressurizing forces while achieving simplification of a mechanism.SOLUTION: A fixing device is provided with: a first rotor; a second rotor which forms a contact region between a peripheral surface of the first rotor and the second rotor, and pressurizes a recording medium by passing the recording medium through the contact region; a heating member which heats the contact region; a first supporting member which is arranged inside of the first rotor and supports the first rotor so as to bring the first rotor into contact with the second rotor; a second supporting member which can be switched between a state of coming in contact with the first supporting member and a state of having a gap, and supports the first supporting member; a first pressing force imparting member which is mounted on the second supporting member and applies a force of pushing the second supporting member and the first supporting member toward the second rotor; a second pressing force imparting member which is arranged between the first supporting member and the second supporting member; and a switcher which switches the first supporting member and the second supporting member between the contacted state and the state having the gap.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
