PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain saw having a configuration capable of adjusting tension of a saw chain by an intuitive and simple operation.SOLUTION: A chain saw which is fed by a sprocket rotationally driven by a motor accommodated in a body frame, in which a saw chain is slid and guided along the outer circumference of a guide bar, and which circulates, comprises: a vertical rotary shaft born at the inner side position of one side face part of the body frame rotatably around a vertical axis; an operation wheel integrally fixed to the vertical rotary shaft so as to be rotationally operated in a plane orthogonal to the axis of the vertical rotary shaft; a horizontal rotary shaft born rotatably around a horizontal axis in a back and forth direction at the inner side position of the one side face part of the body frame and engaged with the vertical rotary shaft so as to rotate in accordance with the rotation of the vertical rotary shaft; and an adjustment pin which is screwed to the horizontal rotary shaft, moved in a back and forth direction in accordance with the rotation of the horizontal rotary shaft, and makes the guide bar move in the back and forth direction by the movement in the back and forth direction, and thus, a mechanism for adjusting the tension of the saw chain is configured. |
