PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit type building capable of ensuring a wide room space.SOLUTION: The unit type building is designed with a trave plane of building unit 20 as the front side and has a first floor part 14 disposing plural units by coupling with each other at the trave plane. A first building unit 20a on the first floor, which is located at the front side of the first-floor part 14, has a partition wall 41 formed parallel to the trave plane, and the partition wall 41 partitions the first building unit 20a on the first floor into two spaces. The first building unit 20a on the first floor has an outdoor open space 31 at one side.
