PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission capable of acting engine brake properly on driving wheels during vehicle deceleration travel, as well as achieving smooth shift of transmission of an internal combustion engine power to the driving wheels via a continuously variable transmission when a vehicle accelerates from the deceleration travel.SOLUTION: A power transmission includes: a continuously variable transmission for variably changing a speed of an internal combustion engine power to transmit it to driving wheels of a vehicle; and an auxiliary power transmission provided in parallel with the continuously variable transmission and for transmitting a power between an internal combustion engine and the driving wheels. The auxiliary power transmission has a disconnection device that can execute connection operation of connecting transmission of the power between the internal combustion engine and the driving wheels via the auxiliary power transmission and cut-off operation of cutting off the transmission of the power. The disconnection device executes the connection operation during vehicle deceleration travel (step 24), and executes the cut-off operation when the vehicle accelerates from the deceleration travel (step 25). |
