<p>The chuck has a wear-resistant guide unit located in a rotatable sleeve-shaped base body (1). The guide unit is connected with the base body for joint rotation and includes a projecting radially inwardly rotation-imparting unit. The guide unit is formed of two guide shells (6, 7) of a wear-resistant material, where the shells are radially displaceable in the base body in certain limits and form a projecting radially inwardly spherical cap (9). The shells are supported in the base body for a limited axial displacement. The base body forms a working tool side axial stop band.</p>
