Supporting element for securing a cable guard

The unit has a clamping unit (7) for fixing to a cable, where an inner diameter of the clamping unit is variable. The clamping unit is composed of two shells that are connected to each other by a detachable stopping device. The clamping unit comprises knobs that project inwardly. A stopper is provided in retaining unit for a cable guard (5). A guide is provided for the cable guard, where the guide projects in the inside of the cable guard.
