PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase in size or weight of a power starter and the increasing difficulty in production or handling involved. SOLUTION: In this power starter, a power transmission shaft is rotatably supported by a casing, a flywheel is mounted on the power transmission shaft, a plurality of eccentric weights is rotatably supported by the flywheel in a radially eccentric state around the power transmission shaft. On the other hand, a fixed gear is fixed to the casing coaxially with the power transmission shaft, and the outer circumferential part of the fixed gear is meshed with rotating shaft parts of the eccentric weights.
