PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining structure capable of surely retaining a fuel tank without rolling even in conveyance of an engine-driven working machine storing a tall fuel tank, where external force is applied to the operating machine. SOLUTION: The fuel tank 70 having a large height, compared with the horizontal and vertical dimensions forming the bottom of the fuel tank, is settled in a recessed part formed below the upper surface of a base 110 that is a foundation frame of the engine-driven working machine so as to reduce the longitudinal and lateral movements to a predetermined clearance or less. The fuel tank is pressed and held in the recessed part of the base 110 by a fixing band 72 wound around the fuel tank from above the fuel tank. Rolling preventive members 90 for preventing the falling of the fuel tank 70 are fixed to a casing side so as to face four upper corner-side wall surfaces of the fuel tank 70, and elastic members are detachably disposed on the fuel tank-side surface of the rolling preventive members 90 so that the clearances from the fuel tank are adjustable.
