<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment where a user can view content with a desired design by means of a rewritable display medium EP. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor 5 detects that the user U has taken electronic paper EP, and assumes that the user has viewed content with a desired design. A receiving part 11 receives a content ID from the electronic paper EP, and for the content of the content ID a design identifying part 14 refers to a design database 13 retaining relationships between design elements and images that the design elements impart to humans, to identify the design. The identification result is stored in a preference database 15 as preference information.
