<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive book block being transferred continuously at a first speed in the printing material flow with the posture of its back horizontally against the back and inclined to the transfer direction and move them at a second speed in the longitudinal direction to the back into the conveying clamp of the adhesive binding machine. <P>SOLUTION: A printed articles 1 collated on a first transfer section 2 with a posture of its back horizontally against the transfer direction F and inclined to the transfer direction F or the book blocks 5 are accelerated in the speed on the different transfer section 3 in order to compose the large pitch interval 12 between the printed articles 1, then are erected by whirling movement so that the printed articles 1 or the side edge 22 of the unbound book blocks 5 to exit with their posture almost parallel to the transfer direction F, and the printed articles 1 or the unbound book blocks 5 are then lifted up keeping this posture into the conveying clamp 8 of the adhesive binding machine 7.
