<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture editing method and device that can effectively fade an picture with high quality in a short time without deteriorating the picture. <P>SOLUTION: An editing condition setter 101 sets editing conditions based upon an editing section and an editing kind. An entropy decoder 102 inputs video contents and partially entropy-decodes only the editing section. A fade coefficient calculator 103 calculates a weight coefficient wi and an offset coefficient di as to each of I, P, and B slices of the editing section. A conversion coefficient editor 104 multiplies respective conversion coefficients of the I slice of the editing section by the weight coefficient wi and further adds the offset coefficient di to directly impart fade effect to the I slice. An entropy encoder 105 generates a weighting estimate characteristic of H.264/AVC by entropy-encoding weight coefficients wi and offset coefficients di of the respective P and B slices, and also entropy-encodes the I slice having been edited. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
