PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thickener for forming a creamy thickening composition having a practical dissolution temperature to various oily bases including liquid paraffins and silicones and a smooth sense of use when applied to the skin. SOLUTION: The thickener includes a specific N-acylamino acid (component A) represented by an acylglycine, acylalanine, acylvaline, acylleucine, acylisoleucine and acylphenylalanine and a specific amidoamine (component B).
