<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor of a rotary electric machine capable of reducing a manufacturing cost and preventing erroneous detection of a rotor angle in abnormal operation. <P>SOLUTION: The rotor of the rotary electric machine is provided with: a shaft 19, a flange 21 fixed on the shaft 19, a rotor core 22 as an iron core supported by the flange 21 and having a coil or a magnet provided thereon, and a rotor 23 for resolver for detecting the angle of the rotor.
