PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer flocculant where an addition amount is small, floc strength is superior, the water content of a dewatered cake can be reduced while maintaining solubility to water in the dehydration treatment of organic sludge and the like difficult to be dehydrated.SOLUTION: A polymer flocculant includes a water-soluble copolymer (A) where a water-soluble cationic monomer (a) represented by general formula (1): CH=C(CH)-CO-X-Q-NRRRZ(1) and a water-soluble unsaturated monomer (b) represented by general formula (2): CH=CR-CO-OY(2) are constitutional units, and has a content of (b) based on the weight of a water-soluble unsaturated monomer (a0) constituting (A) of 2,000-20,000 ppm. |
