PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding a solid object and a three-dimensional printer capable of suppressing development of vertical stripes on a surface of a solid object.SOLUTION: In the method for molding a solid object, an inkjet printer molds a solid object based on a three-dimensional data including a figure data for specifying a figure of the solid object and a surface image data constituted by a plurality of pixels and representing an image of a surface of the solid object. The method for molding a solid object includes a surface image processing step (step ST2), a slice data calculation step (step ST4) and a unit layer forming step (step ST6). In the surface image processing step (step ST2), image processing is performed to set a color of an ink to be discharged in a pixel. In the slice data calculation step (step ST4), the three-dimensional data is segmented into a plurality of layers to calculate a cross-sectional slice data. In the unit layer forming step (step ST6), each layer is formed based on the cross-sectional slice data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
