PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can remove COS contained in liquid hydrocarbon oil easily.SOLUTION: A method for removing carbonyl sulfide in liquid hydrocarbon oil includes an absorption step for removing the carbonyl sulfide contained in the liquid hydrocarbon oil by making the liquid hydrocarbon oil contact with absorbing liquid. The absorbing liquid is water solution containing alkanolamine and alkali compounds.SELECTED DRAWING: None
