TOLL COLLECTION DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING POWER INTERRUPTION RECOVERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively perform recovery from power interruption.

SOLUTION: A toll collection device 1 includes: a sensor 4 for detecting the power interruption of external power supplied from an outer part to the device 1; a CPU 2 for executing a computer program concerning the toll collection of a toll road; a DRAM 3 for storing the computer program and data generated by the CPU 2; and a DC power source 6 for generating DC power. The DRAM 3 includes: a refresh mode for intermittently refreshing by using the external power; and a self-refresh mode for intermittently refreshing by using the DC power. The device includes: a power source monitor part 12 for monitoring the power interruption of the external power by using the sensor 4; a writing part 13 for recording the register state of the CPU 2 in the DRAM 3 when the external power is interrupted while the DRAM 3 is in the refresh mode; and a mode converting part 14 for converting a mode into the self-refresh mode in the DRAM 3 after the register state of the CPU 2 is recorded in the DRAM 3.
