PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder capable of reducing the number of signal lines for transmitting a driving waveform signal and a drive signal. SOLUTION: Based on a clock pulse signal and a selected pulse signal, merge signals FIRE_1/SIN 0-0-46 to FIRE_6/SIN 2-47-93 into which the driving data signal and a driving waveform signal have been merged serially are output to a driving circuit 21A from a gate array. The merge signals include the state data of the driving waveform signal in corresponding to the state of one side of the selected pulse signal and the clock pulse signal while including the drive signal in corresponding to the state of other side of the selected pulse signal and the clock pulse signal. The first means 21AA of the driving circuit 21A extracts the state data and forms the driving waveform signal based on the selected pulse signal and the clock pulse signal. On the other hand, the second means 21AB of a head driver 21 extracts the driving data signal corresponding to the clock pulse signal in the area corresponding to the state of the other side of the selected pulse signal.
