<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultrasonic image system and an ultrasonic image processing method which enable the automatic extraction of a prostate volume from an ultrasonic image of the prostate. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic image system is provided with a three-dimensional ultrasonic image supply part for an object, a pre-processing part which obtains a plurality of two-dimensional images from three-dimensional images to form normalized two-dimensional images by the normalization of the individual two-dimensional images, an edge extraction part which carries out a wavelet conversion of the normalized two-dimensional images in a plurality of scales to form wavelet converted images and averages the wavelet converted images at a plurality of scales to form an edge image, which is thresholded, a control point decision part which determines a control point using the SVM based on the normalized two-dimensional images, the wavelet converted images and the thresholded edge image and a rendering part which implements a three-dimensional rendering based on the control point to form a three-dimensional volume data of the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
