IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that allows a job to be continuously executed without stopping the whole image forming system when errors occur in a sheet processor unrelated to the job.

SOLUTION: The image forming system has an image forming device for forming an image on a sheet and the sheet processor connected to the image forming device so as to perform processing on the sheet. Avoidance processing to abnormalities is executed when communication abnormalities are detected while detecting whether or not the communication abnormalities occur between the image forming device and the sheet processor. Pre-processing for power cut-off is executed corresponding to operation of a power supply switch for cutting off a power supply of the image forming system. The avoidance processing is not executed by ignoring the communication abnormalities even when the communication abnormalities are detected during the pre-processing process.
