<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that reduces space on an ejecting surface for miniaturizing the device, and can maintain satisfactory stack properties. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus 1: the ejecting surface 46, where a recording medium having an image formed by an image formation section 5 is ejected for lamination, is provided on one surface of a body 2 incorporating the image formation section 5 for forming an image on the recording medium; and an operation body 100 having an image read section 115 for reading the image is held movably between a first position for covering the ejecting surface 46 and a second one for opening the ejecting surface 46 to the body 2. The image forming apparatus 1 comprises a loading capacity detection means 137 for detecting the loading capacity of the recording medium ejected onto the ejecting surface 46; and a permitting means 70 for permitting the displacement of the operation body 100 from a first position to a second one, when the loading capacity of the recording medium detected by the loading capacity detection means 137 exceeds a prescribed value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
