PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which has an organic transistor driving a display element and is so constituted that the shape of the display surface of the display element is defined by an aperture insulating film, the display device being made efficient in manufacturing procedure and simple in constitution without causing deterioration in semiconductor characteristic of the organic transistor. SOLUTION: The display device 10 comprises a substrate 20, a display element part 30 which is formed on the substrate 20 and has the display surface 30A, and an organic transistor part 40 which is formed on the substrate 20 and drives the display element part 30. The display element part 30 includes a pair of electrode layers 31 and 32, a display function layer 33, and an aperture insulating film 34, the organic transistor part 40 has a gate electrode 41, a gate insulating film 42, an organic semiconductor layer 43, a source electrode 44, and a drain electrode 45, and the aperture insulating film 34 is provided extending in contact with the surface of the organic semiconductor layer 43 on the opposite side from the gate insulating layer 42.
