The plug connector has a plug connector housing (2) formed for accommodation of a contact partner accommodated in an accommodation space. The position of the contact partner in an accommodation space is defined by a front side section in the plug connector housing. The plug connector is arranged further at an end of a cable, which comprises an electrical conductor connected with the contact partner. A cable adapter (3) is connectable with the plug connector housing, where the contact partner is fixed in the cable adapter in a locking manner.
