<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure capable of supporting a rotary spherical body for display in a variable display device to reduce the strength as the weight is reduced without generating distortion by the rotating force to be introduced into the rotary spherical body. <P>SOLUTION: Two through-holes 5 and 11 are bored in the rotary spherical body 1, whose inside is hollow, along the axis in the diameter direction passing through the center to face each other, and a rotating spindle 23 is inserted into the through-holes. A bevel gear 14 to introduce the rotating force is fixed to the rotary spherical body 1 along one through-hole 11. A tubular bearing part 15 integrally extended from the inner side of the bevel gear 14 is inserted into the rotary spherical body 1 through the through-hole 11, and the rotating spindle 23 is inserted into the bearing part 15. The rotating spindle 23 is rotatably and axially supported by two ball bearings 16 and 24 mounted inside the bearing part with an interval in-between. With this structure, the rotary spherical body 1 is indirectly supported rotatably around the rotating spindle 23 via the bevel gear 14 in such a way as axially supported. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
