PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a workpiece supporting disk so as not to turn when a power source has been failed by a blackout, etc. SOLUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing bottle cans comprises a workpiece supporting stand 10 which supports the workpiece and is turned by electric power, and a tool supporting stand for supporting a working tool, and carries out the working for the workpiece by making the working tool approach to and separate from the workpiece supporting stand 10. Engagement holes 13b are formed on the outer circumferential portion 13a of a workpiece supporting disk 13 at a specified interval in the circumferential direction. A projecting pin 54 is provided so as to project toward the outer circumferential portion 13a and also so as to engage with the engaging holes 13b when it projects. When electric power for turning the workpiece supporting disk 13 has been intercepted, the projecting pin 54 projects and engages with the engaging hole 13b, and the rotation of the workpiece supporting disk 13 is stopped.
