PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure ink ejection performance for a longer period of time while reducing the consumption amount of washing liquid as much as possible when cleaning the ejection port surface of a recording head by using the washing liquid in an inkjet recording device.
SOLUTION: Wiping is performed every time a predetermined period elapses (S207, S208, S210, S211, S213 and S214). By performing the wiping stepwise, density of ink in the liquid remaining on the ejection port face is diluted to be equal to or under fixed density. Thus, even if the wiping is not performed after the wiping, a condition that the ink is ejected from the recording head without a hindrance is maintained when recording operation is newly started. In such a case, even if the recording operation is restarted or newly started after performing the wiping several times, the amount of the washing liquid used for the wiping until then corresponds to a dormant period until then, consequently, the wasteful consumption of the washing liquid is suppressed.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
|
