PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure ensuring stabilized lighting by fixing a cap firmly to a sealing tube, without conducting between external leads of a starting aid electrode in the cap, in a both-end sealed short arc flash lamp having a pair of main electrodes, and a starting aid electrode in a luminous tube, where a core wire of a first main electrode is sealed in a first sealing tube of the luminous tube and led out to the outside thereof, a sealing glass tube is welded to a second sealing tube, and a core wire of a second main electrode is sealed in the sealing glass tube and led out to the outside of the luminous tube.SOLUTION: A cap 20 is fixed to a second sealing tube 3, and a cavity with the second sealing tube 3 in the cap is filled with a first adhesive 21 having a large Young's modulus (Pa), while a cavity at least with a sealing glass tube 4 is filled with a second adhesive 22 having a large resistivity (Ω m). External leads 13, 16 of starting aid electrodes 10, 11 are embedded in the second adhesive and led out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
