A cleaning composition comprises one or more linear or branched C6-C18 alkyl sulphate surfactants and one or more cationic polymers comprising a cationic structural unit and having a cationic charge density ranging from 0.05 to 10 milliequivalents/g. The cleaning compositions exhibit improvement in the sudsing profiles and are suitable for use in hand washing fabrics.
