PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program reproducing apparatus and a program reproducing system in which the information, indicating an appearance subject in a program, is displayed while being attached to the video data of the program, when reproducing a program recorded by the program reproducing apparatus.SOLUTION: A program reproducing system has a program reproducing apparatus including: identification means for identifying the name information of an appearance subject with reference to a database storing the information capable of identifying the appearance subject of a program and the name information of an appearance subject in association, based on a program recorded in a recording medium for server; determination means for determining the display position of the name information identified by the identification means based on the display position of the appearance subject; name information recording means for recording the name information received by receiving means while linking with a recorded program; and output means for outputting while superposing the name information layer recorded by the name information recording means to the display medium when reproducing the recorded program.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
