The invention relates to a two-component coating composition containing, in a first component, an aqueous polymer dispersion which contains a hydroxy-functional polymer and can be produced by means of radically-initiated emulsion polymerisation from one or more ethylenically-unsaturated, radically-polymerisable monomers in the presence of lignosulphonate and, in a second component, at least one cross-linking agent that is based on at least one polyisocyanate. The invention also relates to a method for producing said aqueous polymer dispersion. The composition can be used for coating wood, and particularly as a clearcoat for coating wood.
