The invention relates to a tailings disposal method that eliminates the building of waste dumps and tailings dams and the use of natural soil for stockpiling waste, optimises the use of fresh water, and eliminates the generation of dust resulting from blasting and vehicle transit to the open air, the method being used in mines that are moving from open-pit mining to underground mining. According to the invention, the pulp obtained from the flotation of the mineral from the underground mine is transported to a plant for thickening to a paste, the plant being located at the edge of the pit or crater, and the thickened pulp is deposited in the pit or subsidence crater resulting from underground mining. |
