The plate has two elastic units (5, 6) that are operative to function as lower or upper elastic unit based on a vehicle side where a holder is attached. The elastic units are biased elastically towards a back of the plate during insertion, and springs back into interlocking contact with the holder when the holder is fully seated with the plate. The plate and elastic units are made in one piece. An independent claim is also included for a method of securing a mirror support plate with a mirror mount on left or right vehicle sides. |
