PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print medium carrier which maintains a printing precision even when a head part and the last page of continuous paper are printed. SOLUTION: There are provided: a cam shaft 26 in parallel to a shaft 20a of a front feed rollers 20; a cam in the cam shaft 26; a tension applying piece 30 in such a way as to cover the cam from above and to grip the shaft 20a with an allowance; and the tension always applying piece 31 which energizes the shaft 20a from above. When the cam shaft 26 is rotated by a mode motor 38 and a gear set 37, a modes are set to press the shaft 20a by both of the tension applying piece 30 and the tension always applying piece 31, to press the shaft 20a only by the tension always applying piece 31, and to lift the shaft 20a by the tension applying piece 30, respectively.
