PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular brake force generation device for keeping a braking operation feeling excellently even in the case where any abnormality occurs in a liquid pressure generating device.SOLUTION: A vehicular brake force generation device 10 comprises: an ESB device 16 having an ESB-ECU 29; a VSA device 18 having a VSA-ECU 31; and a CAN communication medium 33. The VSA-ECU 31 includes a first diagnosis part 75 for performing an abnormal diagnosis of the ESB device 16 including an ESB-ECU 29. The VSA-ECU 31 performs an assistance control to aide a braking force by the VSA device 18, when it acquires abnormal state information on that the ESB device 16 is in an abnormal state, and reduces the increment on the brake liquid pressure by the VSA device 18, in comparison with the increase at the failure time of the case, in which the abnormal state information is certain. |
