PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring composition capable of providing a color filter excellent in heat resistance, a cured film using the coloring composition, a color filter, a method for producing a color filter, a solid state imaging device and an image display device.SOLUTION: There is provided a coloring composition which comprises; a pigment compound, which has an anionic site containing at least one of a structure represented by the following formula, a methide structure, a structure containing a boron atom and the like and a pigment structure selected from a xanthene pigment, a cyanine pigment, a squarylium pigment and a dipyrromethene pigment having a cationic site and in which the anionic site and the cationic site are bonded via a covalent bond to be present in the same molecule; a curable compound; and a solvent.
