A developer, an image forming apparatus, a developing process, and an image forming method are provided to reduce the stay of developer. A developer retaining body maintains magnetic developer on the surface. A first developer conveying member(26) is arranged within a first developer accepting chamber. The first developer conveying member returns the magnetic developer to a rotation axis direction with rotation. A second developer conveying member(21) has the axial direction return wing of a spiral type. The second developer conveying member is arranged within the second developer accepting chamber. The second developer conveying member rotates and returns developer is returned to an influx unit from a water inlet(3a).
