A steering wheel of an automobile is provided to install an airbag easily and to facilitate electronic power steering operation by installing permanent magnets regularly on the circumference of a rim of a steering wheel and installing a spoke attached with a coil inward and positioned fixedly on the circumference at one side of the rim. A steering wheel for an automobile comprises a rim(20) attached with permanent magnets(22) at regular intervals on the inside, a spoke(30) formed integrally with a cover at one side of the rim and attached with a coil(32) at the inner circumferential surface, a voltage generator connected with the coil mounted to the spoke, an electronic power steering device connected with the voltage generator, and a steering shaft connected with the electronic power steering device, wherein the inner circumferential surface of the spoke is formed larger than the outer circumferential surface of the rim, so that the spoke is fixed at the appointed location when a driver rotates the rim.
