PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device or a light-emitting device including a light unit with a novel structure, including a substrate and causing less inconvenience.SOLUTION: A display device according to an embodiment includes a housing, a display, and a backlight unit. The display is supported by the housing and has a display surface. The backlight unit is disposed opposite to the display surface of the display in the housing, and includes a base layer, a plurality of conductive layers disposed with a space therebetween on the base layer, and a light-emitting element electrically connected to the two conductive layers over the space. The space extends in a first direction at a position over which the light-emitting element is disposed. The plurality of conductive layers includes the conductive layer positioned in the first direction from a region where the light-emitting element overlaps with the space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
