PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a leak current caused by floating electrostatic capacitance between a coil and a stator core.SOLUTION: A hermetic type motor compressor includes a compression mechanism unit and a motor for driving the compression mechanism unit via a rotary shaft in a closed vessel. The stator 7b of the motor includes a stator core 23, a coil 24 wound around the stator core, and an insulation material 32 provided between the stator core and the coil. The insulation material is constituted of a plurality of laminated insulation thin plates 32a and 32b. A folding section 32aa is formed at both ends in an axial direction of the insulation thin plate 32a of one side of the plurality of laminated insulation thin plates. The end in the axial direction of the insulation thin plate 32b of the other side of the plurality of laminated insulation thin plates is inserted into the folding section. |
