PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a shelf life, an image light resistance and an image fixability by incorporating one type of specific pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrimidine compound as a coupler for coloring in reaction at the time of heating with a diazonium salt compound for forming a thermal recording layer arranged on a support, thereby giving excellent color development property. SOLUTION: In the thermosensitive recording material comprising a thermosensitive recording layer containing a diazonium salt compound and a coupler for coloring in reaction at the time of heating with the diazonium salt compound on a support, as the coupler, at least one type of pyrrolo[1,2- a]pyrimidine compound is contained, wherein R1 is an aryl group, alkyl group, carbamoyl group or the like, R2 is an aryl group, alkyl group or -N(R5)(R6), R5, R6 are each a hydrogen atom, an aryl group or alkyl group, R3 is -OR7 or -N(R8)(R9), R7 to R9 are each a hydrogen atom, an aryl group, an alkyl group, an acyl group, an amino group or the like. |
