PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel device capable of obtaining excellent operability and suitable for miniaturization. SOLUTION: The steering wheel device comprises a rotary shaft which is integrally and rotatably supported by an operation member, a sliding member which has a through hole with the rotary shaft inserted therein and is slidably provided in the axial direction of the rotary shaft, a guide member which regulates the rotation of the sliding member around the rotary shaft and guides the sliding operation thereof, a rocking member which is provided slidably in the axial direction of the rotary shaft interlockingly with the slide of the sliding member, and an angle detector to detect the rocking angle of the rocking member. A helical groove is axially formed in an outer circumferential part of the rotary shaft, a guide groove is formed in the guide member in the axial direction of the rotary shaft, and an engagement groove is formed in the rocking member toward the rocking center. An inner projecting piece provided on the sliding member is inserted in the helical groove, and an outer projecting piece is inserted in the guide groove and the engagement groove.
